Can I install Analytics without Essentials to monitor ArcGIS Enterprise (+Portal) and web applications created using ESRI JS API and Web App Builder?
We are looking at deploying ArcGIS Enterprise in our organization and I would like to have a solution to monitor metrics in the backend for all our services. I was wondering - is Analytics geared towards Geocortex Essentials applicaitons, or can it be used totally separate for ArcGIS products, including:
- ArcGIS Servers (various roles)
- Third party services (external)
- Apps created using ESRI JS API and hosted on a webpage
- Apps created using web app builder
- Mobile applications - e.g. using collector or configurable apps
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Many thanks,
Emlyn

Hi Emelyn,
Thanks for your question, apologies for the delay in response.
Analytics can certainly be used without Essentials, it is designed to monitor many aspects of your GIS infrastructure. You can monitor the performance of your physical servers (Windows, System and Event data), ArcGIS Servers, ArcGIS Online, Portal for ArcGIS, web applications and websites.
For more information, check out these resources:- Geocortex Analytics Overview: http://www.geocortex.com/products/geocortex-analytics/
- Geocortex Analytics User Help: https://docs.geocortex.com/analytics/latest/user-help/
In Geocortex Analytics User Help, the first section that loads, "Geocortex Analytics", is good for an introduction. The "Configuration" section (select in left-hand menu) includes more detailed information on what can be monitored and how it's done.
If you have any further questions or need clarification, just let us know - we're always happy to help. Thanks,

Hi Aaron,
I was looking through the documentaion you lisetd, and I couldn't find anything that specifically mentions whether Analytics can monitor apps built with Web AppBuilder. We are migrating our sites from Essentials to Web AppBuilder, but I'd like to uses Analytics if it can monitor those Web AppBuilder apps.Thanks!0
