Highlight lost when user switches to results table

    Hi Rebecca, 

    I have tried to recreate the problem locally and haven't been able to. I know that we have discussed making changes to highlighting in the past, and was curious as to whether a modification was made that is causing this issue. 

    If available, you can send your desktop.json.js file to me at cpurnell@latitudegeo.com. Otherwise if you could provide some information about the type of layers you are seeing this on it could help narrow down the issue (point/polygon/line, feature service/map service, etc.)

    Hi Cory,

     

    This is happening on a polygon layer (parcels) in a map service. By default, results are returned in list view. I search for a property (instant search enabled), get a result, and the parcel is highlighted on the map. When I click 'switch to table' in the Panel Actions Menu, the record is still displayed (now in table form) but the highlight disappears.

    Hi Rebecca,

     

    Like Cory, I've not been able to reproduce this. I've tried on the LA County site (both on one of my servers and (http://gedemo.geocortex.com/Html5Viewer/index.html?viewer=LACountyPlus) this public demo ), as well as the (http://maps.rdos.bc.ca/Html5Viewer/?viewer=publicparcels) RDOS public parcels app, and the selected parcel remains highlighted when switching in and out of the table view. Would it be possible to take a look at the configuration of the site and viewer where this is occurring?

    Hi folks,

     

    I think this may be a case of GVH-15681.  The behaviour only happens when you have the viewer configured to use the "Highlight all features" mode (you can set this in the "Look and Feel" section of the viewer's Manager).  So if we're testing in the LA County demo, which uses a different highlight mode, we won't be able to see it.  Rebecca, can you confirm if you have that highlight mode selected in this viewer?
