Analytics Cluster Unassigned?

    Hi Richard,

     

    Is Analytics installed on the same server as your Essentials machine?  

     

    If not, did you install the Analytics agent on the Essentials server, and cluster it with the Analytics hub?  Section 5.4 of the admin guide covers the Agent installation, and section 6.2 covers the Cluster configuration utility.

    The cluster config utility invalidated my settings so I backed out originally. Turns out I hit ok and the settings worked despite that. 

     

    Can you tell me what elements in the Analytics reports that the client relay adds beyond what is provided once the cluster with essentials is working?

    Hi Richard,

     

    Glad to hear you got it working!  

     

    The client relay provides information about usage in your Essentials viewer, as well as providing supplemental data to some of the other panels.  For a complete list, please take a look at the content panel reference, in the appendix of the Admin guide.

     

    In short, the agent (which is installed before you cluster) will tell you which sites and services you have in your environment, and the client relay will tell you how they are being used.

    Hi Danny,

     

    I have since reinstalled hub and agent to apply SSL however the reports url seems to be stuck on 'database is initializing'. This has been running the over the weekend with all statuses not changing from pending.
