Vector Tile Service - Style URL

I'm not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but we were unable to initially add a vector tile service to our site. It would not be available. After tracing the issue, I was able to determine that it was due to a Style URL 404.

 

I was able to retrieve the Style URL from the ArcGIS Online Item and formatting the URL as such:

 

https://tiles.arcgis.com/tiles/Uzks6LSde6r23wwG/arcgis/rest/services/<name of our tile>/VectorTileServer/resources/styles/root.json

 

I suspected it was a mixed content issue, but it was not. It was pointing to the wrong location by default at:

 

https://<our organization>/sharing/content/items/ddbde885bf3947ff8725664eec9f91dd/resources/styles/root.json

 

This is a link to our organizations page, but doesn't seem to link to the correct location and goes to a blank API reference page. 

 

This is a hosted vector tile package on ArcGIS Online. It was not added as a basemap.

 

Just an FYI. Not sure if it's a bug or not. Perhaps a configuration issue?

  We've been able to get an AGO hosted version to work.  I'm following the practices I discussed here (https://support.geocortex.com/essentialsGSCForum?sub-nav=forum&main-nav=essentials&#!/feedtype=SINGLE_QUESTION_DETAIL&criteria=ALLQUESTIONS&id=906f20000000CHFAA2) (not sure if it's the best way but it works).

   

  In our case, I add the map service using the URL provided by AGO (capture 1) and then added the JSON Style (Capture 2, Capture 3) to the Style Url configuration on GE Manager (Capture 4).

  Thanks Scott, that's essentially what I did as well to get it to work. I'm more or less inquiring to figure out why the default style URL is not working. I suspect this is a bug?
