spatial reference parameter not honoured when "Enable Print Jobs" checked

I have a custom print workflow that utilizes the PrintMap activity to generate a map report.

 

For the PrintMap activity I set a spatial reference that differs from the map  (I want to print in UTM but the map is in Web Mercator). 

 

I have found that the output result varies depending on whether or not I have check the 'Enable Print Jobs' option for the print template. 

 

 When print jobs are enabled, the output is not correct and the map is not being projected.  When I do not use print jobs the output is correct. 

 

Has anyone else experienced this?  I am not sure I there is something related to print job configuration I have missed but I suspect it is a bug.   I need to use print jobs because I am getting time out errors for larger or more complex plots.

 

I am using Essentials 4.6.1 and the 2.7 HTML5 Viewer which I know is not current but looking through the latest release note I did not see anything related to this.
