How to run ShowFeatureTemplatePicker command in External Command activity?

I am trying to figure out the "ShowFeatureTemplatePicker" external command (see image below).

 

 

It seems there are multiple parameters for this command.  How would I implement this in the External Command activity?  I am at a loss.  Anyone have an example?

  Hi Michael,

   

  I am afraid it's not possible at this point.  There is an improvement request (GVH-8492) to allow ShowFeatureTemplatePicker command to work from a workflow, but it has not been implemented yet.

   

  The command exists, "ShowFeatureTemplatePicker",  however it cannot be used from a workflow since it takes a layer as the parameter.  You would need a custom module to use it currently.

   

  I have added you as a stakeholder to the existing request.

  Thanks for that prompt response!  That saves me a lot of pounding my head against my desk trying things :)!

   

  Does this also mean that there is no way to expose a Feature Template from a custom workflow similar to what you guys provide in the Create New Feature tool found in the toolbar tools of GVH 2.7/2.8? (see my ask about this here: https://support.geocortex.com/essentialsGSCForum?sub-nav=forum&main-nav=essentials&#!/feedtype=SINGLE_QUESTION_DETAIL&id=906f2000000fxpZAAQ).
