When editing a feature, the Follow Me or Track Me stays running
I've noticed that the Follow Me and Track Me stays running, even when you edit a feature. This can be disruptive becuase whenever the geolocation detects a position change, it closes any of the combo boxes that might be opened.
If a user is editing a feature and selecting something from the number of drop-down boxes we have, the box might suddenly close becuase of the position change.
Is there any way to have the Follow or Track Me turn off whenever an object is being edited?

Hi Jeff,
Thanks for posting this question. I have tried GMAF2.3.1 with iPad. I can turn off the Track Me or Follow Me dialog and edit a feature. Could you provide the GMAF version, platform and more deail steps so I can try to reproduce it. Snapshot will be very helpful too.
Thanks,

GMAF 231, HTML5 2.10. I agree that you can turn it off then edit. With the GMAF 1.x version, when you start editing, the track or follow me turns off automatically and does not interrupt the dropdown boxes. GMAF 2.x keeps the track or follow me alive and constantly updating the position which interrupts the dropdown boxes. I know its only 1 extra step, but its a step that used to not be there 0 -
Thanks Jeff, I will log a ticket for this in our bug system so we can improve it.

Any news on this? My customer really needs this to work properly 0 -
Nothing yet. I just have it in training to turn off track or follow to perform an edit. Still an inconvienence and would like it addressed.

Jeff and Erik,
This is being tracked as GMAF-1912 and there is no news on it. As it is a minor improvement and as the GMAF replacement (GMV) is due early in 2019, it's not likely to be implemented now.
