Is there a way to keep overview map from zooming in (only extent rectangle changes)?

This is for GTX 4.9 / GVH 2.10:

 

I only want the extent rectangle to change in the overview map when I zoom in the main map.  I do not want the overview map to do any zooming--I just want the cyan extent rectangle to change based on the zoom scale and position of my main map.

 

While we are at it, is there any easy way to increase the size of the Overview map window?  It is a bit too small and I want to increase the actual size of the Window that pops up.

  There is an 'Idea' proposing this, which has been 'reviewed':

  Hpefully that means we will get this improvement sometime soon, but it has been more than a year since the initial Idea was posted.
