GetMapServiceInfo does not return layer ID

I added a new map service to a current site. I put the new service ID as default when i declared the service variable. For GetMapServiceInfo activity, i input map service id and layer name. Outputs are map service url and layer ID. i got service url correctly but the layer id is empty. layer id variable is a string variable. The layer name is correct and i copied it over from map's rest site. I attached several images to explain the situation. Please help.

  I would first check the debug checkbox on the activity and check the inputs and outputs when testing in the viewer.

   

  Do you use a mapserver or featureserver URL? Outputs are different.

   

  Is the layer a dynamic layer? Then the Source output parameter will be filled.

  it is a map server.  i do not think it is a dynamic layer since layer source is null.

  problem solved.  I asked for help from Latitude.  My mxd layer name has a space and i did not notice it.  Now everything is good.
