user and role disabled. How to enable that ? any help will be appreciated...!!!

  Because you cannot manage your uses and roles through that interface. That is done through Portal.

   

  Permissions are applied at the site level.

  Hey kevin

   

  My concern is not about enabling Portal roles through this interface but what i have observed is that roles btn on this interface is  always disabled for Portal as well as for Windows users though both of them are configured

  Hi,

   

  The "Users and Roles" button is always disabled in Essentials Manager for Security Providers that do not support this functionality. This behavior is expected for the security providers you mentioned (IWA and Portal). If you need further clarification can you expand on what your concerns are?

  Hi Mike

   

  My Concern is "Users and Roles" button is always disabled for Portal for ARCGIS as well as for Windows Integrated options though I have enabled them in check boxes as you can see in the snapashot. But as per you, The "Users and Roles" button is always disabled in Essentials Manager for Security Providers that do not support this functionality. Do you want to say that Portal and Windows does not support Users and Roles functionality....??
