Custom layer visualizations not saved in projects?
Is there a setting that will allow users to apply a custom visualization/symbology on a layer and maintain it in a saved project?
We have some users that heavily relied on this functionality in the Silverlight viewer and now that we've gone HTML5 (2.10.1) the custom symbologies don't seem to be saved in our projects.

Hi Kari,
I tried to reproduce this issue but I could not. I changed the visualization options for a layer, saved the project and reloaded the viewer. When I loaded the project the visualization changes were loaded as well.
Can you try and reproduce this using a common site, like the LA County sample site? That is what I used, with a 2.10.1 viewer.

Hi Wayne,
Just getting back to this. So I copied the LA_County sample site to my sites folder. I ran it and changed symbology on a layer, but the save project buttons are greyed out. Do I need to enable that ability first to test this or should they be enabled already? Thanks.

Hi Kari,
If the save button is disabled you will either have a Core issue or you have not signed into the viewer. You can only save projects if you are signed in.

Hi Wayne. Thanks for checking back on this. Got it working now in both the LA_County sample after I signed in and now my own site is working even though we have ours set to sign in automatically. Not sure what I did differently. We did have a split-brain Core issue that Aaron O. helped me get resolved, but I am more inclined to think it was that loose nut behind the keyboard all along. :) Thanks for the help.
