geocortex core service - Local vs Service Account
What's a best practice for the "Geocortex Core" service to run as a Local account or as Service Account? If so why?
I know ArcGIS for Server Service is best run as a service account so you can connect & write to different drives, etc.
Is this "Geocortex Core" service account is used if you select "Windows Authentication" when adding a data connection? If so what permissions are best...R/W?
Does this the account interact with the "data store" document in any way?
I feel like the Geocortex Service has evolved a bit so I am poking for a refresher as I do security audit's on all of our clients setups.

Hi,
There isn't any reason to change the Core service to use a service account. Any actions in Essentials that could require a domain service account are handled by the two IIS Application Pools. We used to create a local user account for each of these App Pools but now we use the ApplicationPoolIdentity. If you do change these Application Pools to use a domain service account make sure to run/finish the Post Installer so permissions on the Essentials installation are correct.
Thanks,
