    Muhammad,

I've recently written to LG on this very subject, and received a reply from them along the lines of...

    - If you would like buttons for the tools, you can create workflows for them to launch the functionality The implementations of the Cut and Union tools that we are shipping are designed to work when accessed from a menu associated with a feature. Generally the workflow would be to first make a selection of the feature or features that you are interested, then access the cut or union menu item from the menu associated with that feature or selection of interest.   As such, they cannot be added to the toolbar as-is, though it would be possible to create a workflow that assists the user in picking the feature(s) and then runs the cut or union commands  (So not really the answer I was looking for...)

    - They don't have plans for a copy tool either, in 2.11 or 2.12 - this tool is used extensively by our users

    - If we want enhancements in this space, then create a section on the ideas page, or as you've done - hit the forums and look for support. Or, to escalate, probably email LG directly also. They did mention they appreciate the feedback directly.

We've actually had to write our own edit tools (cut/reshape/copy/union/delete/add multiple) that will work from the toolbar itself - this was due to there not being any edit tools at all.  But  with the advancement of the GVH, the edit tools are mostly there now, although - as you've alluded to, they are more or less hidden from the UI, which from our users perspective is a step backward from the Silverlight viewer experience. I'm not sure why they are not respecting the old viewer and what it did well.

perhaps we can ask for some support and comments on this thread?

    cheers

    Hi Muhammad, Gareth,

We certainly do appreciate the feedback - hearing from our users is the best way for us to know how to steer future development. The Ideas section is the best way to get your suggestions heard, it's how we gauge what is most important to our user base and decide where to focus our efforts.

If you are looking for a more immediate solution than would come from posting an Idea, as Gareth mentioned - it's possible to get these tools working from the toolbar with workflows and/or customization.

    Thanks,
