instant search scheduling
Hi
I cannot make sense of the scheduling process for instant search. I followed the KB article.
Does this actually work? Because the logs indicate nothing happens at the trigger time, and the index is not rebuilt. I have tried both UTC and local time in the scheduler.

Hi Roland,
We have had some reports from users who were not able to configure their Instant Search scanner using the instructions in the knowledge base.
You may need to delete and re-create the index for the new scanning schedule to take effect - I have asked to have the steps verified and if there are errors in the article we'll update it.

I have sorted it out
Edit the role.config file to reflect your schedule. Note there is a syntax problem with the template file in 4.7.1, a missing comma or two in the weekly and monthly JSON. :-)
Update the file to the scanner manager folder (may need admin)
Delete the existing index(es) on your map service(s)
Recreate the index(es)
Apply--> Save
Close the site.
Verify the change in the manager logs =InstantSearch.ScannerManager.log
Look for the scheduled start (after the sheduled time) in the = InstantSearch.Scanner.log0 -
As an update can I schedule two days a week? 0
