Loading <map service name> map data... message reports layers turned off
When opening a viewer or changing the map scale or extent, it is normal to see messages like this at the bottom of the map as it is being rendered:
Loading <map service name> map data...
For a long time I've ignored the fact I almost always see this specific one:
Loading BR Schedule B Map Data...
This one is bothersome because it refers to data that is relevant in only one part of the map, yet it appears no matter what part of it I am viewing. So today I decided to investigate. But I found that even with all operational layers turned off, I still see the same message. It's like a phantom layer. How can I correct this misbehaviour?

Hi Justin,
Please look in the Desktop.json.js file for the following line -
"showLoadingStatus": true,
and change the true to false. This will stop the message. The phantom loading of layers is a bug fixed in version 2.11 of the viewer.
