We are are trying to connect Geocortex 4.11.0 to ArcGIS Portal which is federated with ArcGIS Server 10.6. When I have added the connection, I can see the data but then it says "Operation Failed"
Any ideas why this could be?

To add some more info, this happening in the "Add Map Service":

Hi Inga,
To access federated and private services within your Portal, you'll need to run the Essentials Post Installer, and configure your Sign-in Provider to use the administrator account for your Portal. Once you log into Manager with that account, your searches will succeed.

Great thank you Stefan, that worked.
I had been using my adminstrator Portal account to sign into Essentials Manager, but once I changed that to the actual Portal admin account it worked.

Could you clarify this for me Stefan or Inga? It appears I am running into a similar thing. I am logged into Manager as Administrator, as shown below. Why is the error "Operation Failed" occurring?

We would typically use Fiddler as a proxy to Essentials in a case like this and see if we could get more info on the error -

It might be an SSL issue but until we get more details from Fiddler it's hard to tell.

Richard, the error is intermittent and if I close the connections tab and retry it it usually works. Thanks for your reply! 0
