esri.Polygon Geometry input for Calculate Area tool

Hi, I am trying to calculate the area of a polygon. As I was running into problems, I looked at the example workflow (https://latitudegeo.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=8d3a803d74e440beb810b62bf2ec4de4). However, this example workflow shows the same error.. So here's my question:

I have a geometry which is an esri.Geometry (i.e. it works with for example Get Geometry Extent). But Calculate Area requires an esri.Polygon as geometry input. How do I transform my esri.Geometry to an esri.Polygon? Or is there a different way to calculate the area of a feature, created with the Geometry Picker? Thanks in advance!

  Hello Yannick,

   

  Since the expected input type is expecting a Polygon, but the input value is of type Geometry and contains polygons, the warning message will display but it causes no issues when the workflow is run.

   

  There is an existing issue filed that I've added your name to the list of stakeholders.
