Autocomplete in Viewer for HTML5 2.10.1 missing characters in query to server

We are experiencing problems with the Autocomplete box in viewer for HTML5 2.10.1.

 

We’re getting this error in the Arcgis-server-log:

 

Geodatabase error: Attribute column not found [42S22:[Microsoft][ODBC Driver 13 for SQL Server][SQL Server]Invalid column name 'KONCENTRATOR_SERIE_NR_'.] [ELDB.EL.Bygvaerk].

 

But the fieldname (column name) is “Koncentrator_Serie_nr_id” so the server doesn’t get the full fieldname in the query, missing "id" in the fieldname.

 

I’ve checked the definitions everywhere in the displayform and they all use the correct spelling for this fieldname.

 

We have other workflows that works fine, but they all have shorter fieldnames to query for. Also in an older version of the viewer (and essentials) it works fine.

 

Any idea to avoid this, other than renaming the field or alias, both are not an option in this case?

  Hi Rene,

   

  Unfortunately this is a bug (BUG 21308).  The maximum length the field can be is 21 characters.  The bug may be resolved via a documentation change or the code may be changed to allow longer fields, it's unknown at this point.  To be safe, I would reduce your field name lengths if at all possible.

  Hi Wayne.

   

  This is very unfortunate. When you say it may be resolved via documentation change, does that mean that you will keep the bug in the system as a known limitation? I think that 21 characters is a very small number...
