Stream Service - change symbol from blue dot

Has anyone successfully changed the symbol for a stream service from a blue dot to another symbol? I'm using Esri's geoevent server and networkfleet (renaming to verizon connect).

  From what I've learned this is only possible in the browser by each person using the Turn On/Off Layer Visualizations. This obviously does not scale to an organization so is not a good way to do this.

   

  You'll notice I'm green and just getting started with a Stream Service and GeoEvent. Here's a better way. Create a Feature that is published with the schema = the output schema from GeoEvent. Then instead of publishing a streaming service choose to update a Feature (the one you created). Did that in about an hour and had my map updated.

   

  Two other items to note: Use the Symbol tab in the Feature properties to change to a truck or whatever you like. If you hit the Advanced button you can set the Rotation to be the Heading that Networkfleet sends. Since I chose a right facing truck symbol I had to also change the angle 90 degrees so the right facing truck faced North when the heading was 0 degrees. Hope this helps someone else.
