Microsoft updates (KB4338419 and/or KB4338815) causes Geocortex Designer to stop working.

    Hi Bob,

     

    Can you provide some information on how Geocortex Designer stops working?  Do you get an error message?  Which designer is it, Report Designer, Workflow Designer, Essentials Manager, or some other product?

    Malcolm,  We are using Geocortex Designer version 4.5.0.1202.

     

    When we tried to run Designer it would open up but the we could not do anything with it.

    Try setting up the Workflow/Report designers on a local machine.  I place these two designers on my local workstation to edit the .xaml and .rpx files stored on our dev, test & production servers.  The install files are available seperately on the downloads page.

    Hi Bob,

     

    I checked through our bug tracker and haven't seen any mention of these updates (or any others) stopping Workflow Designer from working.

     

    If you are able to, please run a local copy of the designer from your workstation.

     

    If neither a local copy nor the installed copy of Workflow Designer are working for you, please open up a support case and we'll investigate further with you.
