Does Reporting 5 use Chromium for the IDE/UI?

Where we installed our on-prem application, we uninstalled Google Chrome, but noticed that Reporting5 still has many Chromium services listed. Looking at the installation, it appears that Reporting5 may use Chromium for the IDE/UI, but our network admins are looking for confirmation. If it doesn't, can it be removed? We don't typically support browser installations on our servers.

  Hi Erik,

   

  Chromium is used internally by Reporting 5 for printing map images. It is a critical part of the software and cannot be removed.

  We installed all series-5 products on-prem, but have not deployed a printing or reporting solution yet. We still have about 30 instances running (1-5 MB memory and 0 CPU). Is that normal?

  Yes, that's normal. Those instances are ready and waiting for print/report jobs to come in.
