Update jquery ui?
I was hoping to use the jquery ui checkboxradio widget in a custom viewer module, but noticed that the version of jquery ui in the viewer is at 1.9.2. The checkboxradio widget is in a more recent version 1.12.1. Are there plans for upgrading the version of jquery ui that is included in the viewer template? Will manually updating jquery ui which may require updating jquery break things in the viewer?

Hi Marc,
The question has been raised previously and because JQuery is used so sparingly in the viewer, there were no plans to upgrade it, It was previously raised due to security vulnerabilities in the older version of JQuery but it was determined that the vulnerabilities did not affect the viewer. The next generation viewer, GWV, will not use JQuery.
We have not tested a newer version of JQuery in the viewer but based on what I have heard from other customers that did try it, I would expect issues. If you go ahead and try it, I would be sure to take a server backup, so you can easily restore it.
