Set fixed colors for each attribute value in a multifeature pie chart
Hello,
I have a question regarding the color control for charts in the manager / viewer.
I have a layer containing the energy labels of dutch households (ranging from A++ to G) for which I configured a multifeature pie chart. However the problem I run into is that the color generation for the labels in the pie chart is different based on the number of unique labels within a in a given selection.
I want to set a fixed color for a given label in the pie chart so that a label is always represented with the same color. This way the readability of the pie chart is increased and the colors used for the labels can also be matched to the symbology of the layer.
Anyone has an idea if, and how this can be achieved?

Hi Gersom,
In order to predefine which color is used for a given pie slice, you need to define a Series for use in your multifeature pie chart. That way, each possible segment in the pie will have a predetermined color. If you choose to configure a Color Palette, then the colors will be chosen when the chart is drawn.
Information on setting the colors for the pie chart can be found under the heading Configure Series (https://docs.geocortex.com/essentials/latest/admin-help/Default.htm#ge/admin/charting.htm#Configure_Series%3FTocPath%3DFeatures%2520of%2520Map%2520Services%2520and%2520Layers%7CCharting%7C_____7) in the Online Help.

Hello Malcolm,
Thanks for the response, but unfortunatly this solutions does not solve my problem.
If I'm not mistaken the solution you presented is only applicable if each pie slice is represented by its own attribute, thus multiple series with their own color can be added to a single chart. However in the instance were a single series with a data aggregator is used (like the energylabel data in my instance) there seems to be no way to manually set the color for the aggregated groups.
