Geocortex Essentials 4.11 and HTML5 Viewer 2.12 are now available on the  (https://support.geocortex.com/essentialsGSCDownloads?productTitle=Essentials&sub-nav=downloads&main-nav=essentials) Downloads page  or from your local Geocortex vendor.

 

 

 

The following features were introduced in this release:

 

• Support for Geocortex Printing 5.  Administrators can now add print templates that use the new Geocortex Printing 5 product.

    The following features were introduced in this release.

     

    • Support for Geocortex Printing 5. Administrators can now add print templates that use the new Geocortex Printing 5 product.

     

    The following issues were resolved in this release.

     

    REST API :
    • 21544: Windows sign-in password input not obscured in certain Chrome versions
    • 25338: ArcGIS WFS can't find layer if it has a space in its name
    • 25339: ArcGIS WFS can only be queried when added to the map in a geographic coordinate system
    • 25340: WFS: 'PropertyName' element has incorrect namespace attached
    • 25341: ArcGIS WFS uses incorrect type annotation for DateTime fields in WFS metadata
    • 25540: Fix parsing errors when using Geoserver WMS services with application/vnd.ogc.gml
    • 25568: WFS spatial queries use a geometry type (Envelope) which is not supported by all vendors
    • 25569: Must handle coordinates possibly being flipped in returned results to fully support spatial queries on OGC services
    • 25590: WFS spatial queries can use a spatial reference which is not supported by the WFS
    • 25601: Cannot get geometry results back from WFS services that do not specify a specific geometry type
    • 25839: Essentials creates a request that is invalid for some services when queried for count by GVH Accessibility module
    • 27652: Vector Tile Layer doesn't draw when secured Manager
    • 20224: Adding map service or folder containing no layers to layer list causes error
    • 24006: Support global configuration of the Geocortex Workflow 5 base URL
    • 24963: Cannot edit or delete entries in the Show Permissions dialog in IE 11 when the user must scroll to access the entry

    • Streamlined attachment editing workflow
    • New UI for working with an ad-hoc set of selected features
    • Improved support for many OGC services and features
    • Improved efficiency when working with large result sets
    • New commands to hide and show toolbar elements
    • Printing 5 Support
     

     

    The following issues were resolved in this release:

     

    BUG 14212 Subtype names are populated in selector instead of domain values when editing attributes.

     

    BUG 14245 Some WMS layers do not apply the correct visibility settings after being loaded in a project.

     

    BUG 14294 The Workflow Report activity cannot be used with table layers.

     

    BUG 14690 WMS layers do not respect the identifiable layer settings made in the viewer.

     

    BUG 14803 Resolved coded value domains do not appear in exported results.

     

    BUG 15049 A fixed position map tip can also appear when callout style map tips are enabled.

     

    BUG 15145 Map highlight is not cleared when a callout style map tip is closed.

     

    BUG 16192 GVH does not correctly honor the Failure Action set on some services.

     

    BUG 20043 The ‘showNoResultMapTips’ configuration cannot be used with callout style map tips.

     

    BUG 20045 ‘No Results’ can appear in a callout style map tip before feature information has been displayed.

     

    BUG 20091 Markup cannot be styled when using callout style map tips.

     

    BUG 20097 Callout style map tips for some features are incorrectly sized.

     

    BUG 20380 Markup cannot be edited when using callout style map tips.

     

    BUG 20710 Batch commands in the I Want To Menu fail if Analytics Integration is enabled.

     

    BUG 21860 Feature snapping can become disabled until the snapping options view is interacted with.

     

    BUG 22278 ‘globalize’ build scripts incorrectly included in production build.

     

    BUG 22306 Analytics Client Relay can fail to start in some environments.

     

    BUG 22476 Activating and deactivating the time slider can cause the control to stop working.

     

    BUG 22619 Forms including certain controls (such as radio buttons) produce an error in the console.

     

    BUG 22816 The viewer may fail to load when a module contains config for items provided by other modules that have been removed from configuration.

     

    BUG 23297 Editing plotted coordinate values can result in a value of 60 degrees being used where 0 would be more appropriate.

     

    BUG 23465 Map touch controls do not function when using Chrome.

     

    BUG 23528 Including a token secured Vector Tile service prevents the viewer from loading.

     

    BUG 23604 An empty file included in configuration as a library prevents the viewer from loading.

     

    BUG 23850 The ‘allowMultiple’ configuration for callout style map tips does not function correctly.

     

    BUG 24287 Using token secured services in saved queries can break the Query tool.

     

    BUG 24298 The keyboard focus indicator can disappear after interacting with an element. BUG 24299 Map keyboard controls can remain active when an input has focus.

     

    BUG 24609 Testing for accepted protocols in feature description configuration is case sensitive.

     

    BUG 25222 GVH ignores the feature template geometry that has been set in ArcMap.

     

    BUG 25338 ESRI WFS layers that have a space in their name do not work.

     

    BUG 25340 WFS queries attach an incorrect namespace to the ‘PropertyName’ element.

     

    BUG 25341 Worked around an incorrect type annotation encountered in ESRI WFS layers that contain date fields.

     

    BUG 25539 The vnd.ogc.gml format emitted by MapServer OGC services is not supported.

     

    BUG 25568 WFS spatial queries use a geometry type that is not supported by all vendors.

     

    BUG 25590 WFS spatial queries can sometimes attempt to use an unsupported spatial reference.

     

    BUG 25601 Cannot get geometry results back from WFS services that do not specify a specific geometry type.

     

    BUG 25629 Queries to WFS services using point geometries do not work.

     

    BUG 25830 The ID of a WMTS layer in the viewer may not match that provided by the REST endpoint

     

    BUG 25838 WMS layers are queried by the MapTextProvider despite the fact that they cannot return ‘count’ results.

     

    BUG 25848 WMTS services can prevent offline maps from syncing.

     

    BUG 27127 Feature clustering can become disabled after loading a project

    Hi Wayne,

     

    We've upgraded to the latest Essentials (4.11) and GVH5 (2.12) versions, and have noticed that when typing into the viewer

     

    Serach box there is a loss of focus. After a few characters, subsequent characters are not entered and the spacebar acts as the Enter key.  Conseqently, our customers  are experiencing issues when using the Search box.   

     

    It seems to be happenning in Crome Version 72.0.3626.109 (Official Build) (64-bit) and Firefox 64.0.2 , but not Microsoft Edge Microsoft Edge 42.17134.1.0.  Also, we do have Instant Search enabled.

    Hi Wayne,

     

    Any update on when 2.12.1 will be available.  The issue with the instant search and typing spaces is fairly significant and holding us back from upgrading.

     

    I'm also interested in knowing if and/or when GVH-11626/BUG-14638 will be fixed?

    We're expecting 2.12.1 to be released by the end of the month.  GVH-11626/BUG-14638 doesn't have a target version assigned yet.

    The instant search issue is a dealbreaker. It completely breaks the search for the end user. We will be rolling back today.
