Workflow forms do not populate for me at 2.12 on GE 4.11

I have on my dev VM updated to GE 4.11 and GVH 2.12 (while production remains at GE 4.9.1 and GVH 2.10). 

 

I have a signage inventory app that works nicely in GVH 2.10, but in 2.12, the form fields do not populate. I know there have been changes in what elements are loaded in GVH 2.12 compared to 2.10, and I suspect that is the cause of the problem. 

 

Before I update on production I must resolve this.  What would explain why form field values set in RuntimeModifications fail to be respected in GVH 2.12 on GE 4.11? 

 

I will be grateful for any help.

  Thanks Stefan. Would it make sense for me to try 2.11.2 instead, or does the same problem occur there, too? I do not see it in its Known Issues The faster launch speed is documented at that release, which is the feature that's the main reason I want to upgrade. I know I can try it myself, but I've got lots on right now if you can just tell me.

  I went ahead and tried, and found the problem unique to 2.12 because it does not happen in 2.11.2. So I will proceed with 2.11.2 for time being. Thank you for putting me on the stakeholder list, Stefan, because I will upgrade to whatever version I hear fixes the problem.

  No worries. You are correct, the issue appeared in the 2.12.0 release. I'll let you know when to expect a fix for this.
