Square Buffer

Anyone have a thought on how to make a square buffer vs circle?

 

I know it requires a "Desktop Advanced" from ESRI and not sure if that means it will require a "ArcServer Advanced" to do it via a Geoprocessing Service so trying to avoid that scenario.

  Dylan - It would require a bit of math. Create a buffer, get the buffers extent, find the longest side and add half of the difference to either side of the shortest side of the extent. Or if you are using Workflow 5, we are about to release a new Activity Pack that includes a square (https://www.geowidgets.io/docs/geocortex-workflow-activities/turf-activity-reference/square/)  Activity. It will be free. Just tidying up some documentation.

  Good idea. I am thinking the "Envelop" is enough for the end users. Any thoughts on converting an envelop into a graphic?

  Envelop of the circle buffer converted to geometry then added as markup did the trick.
