Datalinks in Maptip since gxe 4.11 & 2.12
We have been unable to display any datalinked data in a maptip since gxe 4.11 and html5 viewer 2.12.

Using the chrome developer tools I can see that the datalink gets to the client but simply does not get populated into the maptip.
I did try the recent 2.12.1 viewer release and no change
I saw in another post that viewer 2.11.2 was compatible with gxe 4.11 so loaded that into the same map. The datalinks showed up correctly in that viewer
A possibly related issues is that the very first maptip in a session with the 2.12 viewer is interpreted as text

Any subsequent maptip is interpreted correctly

Again the 2.11.2 viewer shows the maptip correctly every time
Im out of things to try so any help is appreciated
Pete

I'm having the same exact issue. I have a support ticket: 00121353

Hi Peter, I had a case open with ESRI on this issue, which got passed along to latitude. It is marked as a known issue and hopefully will be resolved in the next release. Effectively, the viewer could not retrieve any data in datalinks. 0 -
I was notified by support that the broken datalink information in a maptip was a bug and is being tracked: BUG 30624 0 -
Thanks Jeff & Shawn
Was starting to think it must have been something weird in our setup :)
I eventually got a workaround from out local gxe support but am a bit wary about going live on a workaround. Hopefully it gets fixed in the near future

We are experiencing this same issue so glad to hear it's a bug with the data links and not the actual set up. Hopefully this can be fixed in the next release. 0 -
Same problem Here 0 -
All,
I can confirm that there are 2 bugs here:
30624: Data link replacement token not resolving in map tip; and that will be fixed in HTML5 v2.13.
The second bug, 30929: HTML not resolving in first map tip; is filed and we're looking at it. While we haven't started working on it yet, we're trying to target v2.13 for the fix.
I hope that helps!
Thanks,

Hi Adrian,
I've added you as a stakeholder in the bug report. Please note that both the bugs listed here have been resolved in GVH 4.12 - you can see the list of issues resolved in the release notes on the Downloads page.
All the best,
