Better Map imagefor reports

I am able to bring a map image with graphic into a report using a workflow, but there needs to be a better way. It appears what is put in place is more of a workaround than an actual solution.

What if the user has measurements on the map, or added custom markups. The report should be able to create a screenshot of the map and use that in the report.
