We have come across issues with how licenses are assigned and used in Geocortex. The workflow designer in particular is also the license server itself. It doesn't make sense that your IDE (your dev environment) would also be your license server.

 

With that setup your production server is affected by your development environment. This isn't exactly right.

 

My idea is to have a license hub/server which the latitude products can connect to for licenses. This untangles dev from production and clearly defines roles for applications.

  The license endpoint is actually part of the Workflow Server component, not the designer. The end user needs to be able to interact with the Workflow Server in order to be able to run server workflows so the server needs to be visible to them.
