Admin App Pool High Memory Usage
I have a site in GE with some ESRI Map services, that when added to the site the Applicaiton Pool Memory dramatically increases to over 20 GB over a few minutes and maintains at that level. I have not seen this in any other sites or deployments that I have been involved with. Does anyone know or can provide some insight into why the admin app pool would use or need that much memory. This is causing the site to become extremely slow. GE has been reinstalled several times. Ideas?

Hi Justin,
Can you please open a support case for this issue so we can have someone investigate further internally? We've had reports of the Essentials Manager app pool running very high memory usage and have not been able to reproduce that issue in-house. So far, we have not been able to collect detailed information about the map services that may have caused the issue. If we can examine the particular services you are using, that may help us find and ultimately fix this!0 -
Was there any more insight into this? Our Vm (windows server 2016) running Geocortex Essentials 4.11 and ArcGIS Server 10.6 is painfully slow. Whenever I pop open Task Manager I see memory at 90-95% and it is geocortex EssentialsAppPool4 and the geocortex openJDK platform causing this. I have recycled EssentialsAppPool4, stopped the services and restarted the server etc to no avail.
Essentials Manager takes about 5-10 minutes to boot up and this is a brand new Server I set up a little bit ago. I don't notice any performance hits when accessing the maps from other machines0 -
Hi Ryan,
We have not seen many reports on this issue and most of the ones that we have seen have been environment-specific. If you are able to see anything within the Windows Event Logs or IIS Logs, that would be the first place to look but I think contacting Support would be the best option.
Thanks, Stefan
