Add custom measurement in Measurement tool?

Is there a way to add an additional unit of measure in the measure distance tool? Or make one va workflow that does a similar function? There is something in the cadastral-survey world called a 'chain', which represents 66 feet.

  I'd imagine you could create a workflow for it, maybe something like the DisplayCatpureGeometry activity to draw and create a line, then the LengthsTask to get a length in ft, then a calculator to convert to chains and an Alert pop up with the measurment.
