ArcGIS Server Error - 499 : Token Required
Hi all,
I have a SSO connection between Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS server and Geocortex products.
Since I have this SSO, in Geocortex Reporting, whenever I try Use a new ArcGIS layer or table and I Enter the URL to an ArcGIS service ( from my ArcGIS server ), I get this error :
Since it's a federated security, the geocortex help says : " If the service is federated with ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS, you do not need to configure a user name and password. Geocortex Reporting uses available information to access federated services."
Could someone help me ?
thx

Hi Guillaume,
Since you mentioned that you are currently using SSO for security, you may need to install Geocortex Web Adaptor Extensions in order to connect with that data source.
Can you confirm that your configuration matches the 'Overview' section, and try installing this as well?
Thanks, Stefan

Hi, @Stefan Schweigert?,
I had already installed the Geocortex Web Adaptor Extensions.
But, in the note, what does "To use this extension, configure your Geocortex applications pools to use server or appliance (non-login) identities." mean ?
Regards,
Guillaume

Hi Guillaume,
A few follow-up questions:
- It looks as though you are using http for your URL which is not advisable by Esri when using Portal, and may cause issues when using Reporting.
- What version are you of ArcGIS Enterprise are you currently using?
- Can you confirm that the URL you are using matches what appears when you load the service through Portal?
Thanks, Stefan

Hi @Stefan Schweigert?, here are my answers:
- I actually tried using https as well, giving the same error.
- 10.6.1
- Yes I confirm that point.
When installing the Geocortex Web Adaptor Extensions, in the note, what does "To use this extension, configure your Geocortex applications pools to use server or appliance (non-login) identities." mean ?
Thanks, Guillaume

Hi,
When you create the "ArcGIS Web Adaptor Trusted Service Accounts" group you must add the computer account for the server that has your 5 series product installed on it. See the example screenshot below.
Thanks,
Mike Ketler

Hi @Mike Ketler? ,
Thanks for your answer!
I did add computer account as you told me to do.
However, I still have the error.
Moreover, now, I have other errors while trying to access MapServer and Feature Server services hosted on my ArcGIS server (error 401 and 499).
And my SSO is no more efficiant (I know have to enter my credentials everywhere, with the DOMAIN name...
Best regards,
Guillaume

Can someone please responds to the question that Guillaume asked twice...
But, in the note, what does "To use this extension, configure your Geocortex applications pools to use server or appliance (non-login) identities." mean ?
Thanks,
Dave
