how to integrate Essential resources with non-GIS systems (or how to provide an access to the secure Essentials REST API without a viewer)
The main idea is how to integrate Essential resources with non-GIS systems.
Essentials REST API such as printing map, feature map, search table are very powerful but they are only accessible through a viewer or Essential Client API.
For example, with a large quantity of data search table seems to perform better than the AGS REST API.
I also want to use Feature Map in a SQL report engine. So when the report is generated it can add the map component.
Something similar with ArcGIS Server secured services which you can get a token from a getToken URL and pass it to the query function.
What I want to achieve is to build a small application (either in Java or .NET) which can handle to get token and pass it to the search table to query. So other non-GIS systems can integrate with the search table function.
