[5.40] Handle Workflow 5 Web Request Status Codes

Introduced in VertiGIS Studio Workflow 5.40

The "Web Request" task in Workflow 5 only allows for success messages to be handled using further processing in the workflow. This makes it very hard to handle interactions with the client or responding to other types of responses.

 

I would suggest the workflow be able to continue even if it gets a 404 or some other error and that it should handle the response how it sees fit.

 

There are multiple ways I could suggest this is possible:

• Bool Input on the Web request object saying "don't error on non-success return messages"
• Switch like outputs from web request for 2xx, 3xx, 4xx, 5xx and so on response status codes
• Default the workflow to continue without worrying about the response being a non-success

 

It actually doesn't make sense to me why the workflow errors on a bad http status code because it's always traditionally been up to the developer how to handle those response codes.
