Map tip and search result - selected feature is not the same

Recently we noticed this odd behavior with this our Geocortex viewers:

1. When some one uses the global search and then clicks on returned feature to select it on the map, the selection symbol is somewhat offset from original feature outlines. (please see attached image)
2. But if a user just click on the feature to get a Map Tip, the feature is highlighted/selected as expected. (see attached)

Our users are confused when they get these different selection results, they think there are two copies of parcel layer on the map. (see attached)

 

 

Has any seem this issue, or has suggestions on fixing it?

  Yes, I do use instant search. Thanks for pointing me to another case. It sounds like this is an old issue and I am surprised that we never noticed it in our viewers.
