ShowChartingView always greyed out
When I select a feature or features from layer with visible, multiple features charts, the ShowChartingView Tool still is greyed out and I can not click on it. I was wondering if there was a specific way to activate this without having to go through the Panel Actions Menu. I am using HTML5 4.12.2.
Any help or information on this topic would be helpful.
Thank you,
Patrick

Hi Patrick,
Assuming you have added charts to the relevant layer there are a few ways you could access charting outside of the panel actions menu:
1) You could add a tool to either the I Want To Menu, the Toolbar or the Home Panel and use the "ShowChartingView" command to allow users to display available charts in the viewer.
2) You could also use the "DisplayChartByID" command in any of these menus to display a specific chart for a particular layer
3) You could build a workflow with a form to guide a user to a given set of features and display a chart as required using the "Run Command" activity with either the "ShowChartingView" or "DisplayChartByID" commands as above.
Hope this helps,

Hi Harry,
The out of the box View Charts tool with the "ShowChartingView" command remains grayed out when the Find Data tool is used on a layer with charts added to the layer. Is there a configuration that needs to be done within the layer or the charts themselves so that the "ShowChartingView" will be enabled? (There are multiple charts. both multiple features and single features, for one layer and two different layers with charts.)
Thanks,

Hi Patrick,
This has been identified as a bug in 4.12.2 under bug 37758 (View Charts button disabled when added to the viewer toolbar). It has been validated and is currently under investigation. For the time being, you will need to use either the context menus or add it to the 'I Want To' menu.
Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
