Feature Hyperlink from Attribute is Malformed

Essentials 4.12.0 HTML5 4.12.2

 

 

I have an attribute in my feature that is an entire URL, but when I configure the Feature hyperlink to be just the attribute, it prepends the URL of the Geocortex server root folder causing the URL to be malformed.

 

 

For example:

 

The attribute contains "www.someorgname.org" but the feature hyperlink comes out as "https://mycortexserver.gov/gvh/www.someorgname.org"

 

 

Why is this happening?  How do I get around this?

  Additionally, when the attribute content begins with HTTP:// it does not prepend the server URL, but it does strip out the colon so the URL is again malformed:

   

  https://www.someorgname.og becomes https//someorgname.org
