How do I run a Series 5 report from within an Essentials workflow?
I'm beginning to convert my reports to the Series 5 reporting tool. I have a parcel report that will successfully run if I select some taxlots and use the "Run a Report" option on the selected results. So I know the report is good.
I have a reporting workflow that lets the user draw an area of interest, and then run the report on that geometry using a Report activity. This works fine for existing reports. With the new Series 5 report though, it errors out with the following message:
"There was a workflow error running activity: Error running report 'Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. Layer URL reports cannot be run directly from Geocortex Essentials.'
Any ideas what might be going on?

Configuring Geocortex Reporting reports requires some additional configuration steps that this error indicates are missing. Thanks Stefan. I should have been clearer I'm using Workflow 4. Can you run Reporting 5 reports using the old workflows?

No worries, after rereading your question I see that I misunderstood.
It is not possible to run a Reporting 5 report directly using a Workflow 4 workflow.
