Has GVH-16048 issue with attachments been dealt with?

We're having an issue with attachments in GE 4.12 with Viewer 2.12 that I think might be related to this post:

I have the server URLs setup in the proxy.config file the same way as in our previous instance of 4.10, but that instance was run through AGO and our 4.12 is run from Portal with IWA enabled. Just checking to see if any thing else has been done with this or if there's any kind of workaround?
