Use registered domain name instead of machine name

We have moved our Essentials development environment to a AWS EC2 instance.  We have registered a domain name for this instance and set up a SSL certificate for it.  We use ArcGIS authentication for access to the rest manager.

 

 

However when we load rest manager using the registered domain URL, the ArcGIS.com login redirect goes back to the machine name (a compute.amazon.com name) and therefore presents an invalid certificate error.

 

 

The question is, how do we set up Essentials to use the registered domain name instead of the AWS machine name?
