Auth0 integration of roles?

We have successfully added the auth0 identity provider as a login option which is really nice.  However, it appears that we can only manage/restrict access based on all auth0 logged in users and are not seeing roles created in auth0 propagate to the GCX to be able to group users.  Has anyone run into this or know of a way to support roles/groups via auth0?
