Colorpicker not available when symbolizing layers

When a user uploads a layer, there is a pop-up that allows you to choose the symbology of the layer you are adding.

 

 

However in our case the fill color and outline color cannot be changed.

 

 

It does say : "Color:    Outline Color: " in the pop-up, but there is nothing to click on.

 

Similarly when using the visualization option in the layer context menu the same thing happens. After I use the attribute symbology type it assigns colors to the different categories, but it doesn't allow me to change the color.

 

 

I am assuming that I should be changing the desktop.json file, but I am not sure how to do this.

    Hi Nico,

     

     

    It does not seem to be browser specific. I have tried in Chrome, Edge and Internet Explorer. Most of the staff in my organization uses Edge.

    Does the map service "Allow per request modification of layer order and symbology." Found in Capabilities.
