Geocortex Essentials Sites Directory

Is there a way to hide or turn off browsing for the Geocortex Essentials Sites Directory. We don't want our public webmap showing the worflows used, or the map service names and attributes.  We have service directory browsing turned off for the ArcGIS Server site.

  I don't know if this is possible (I don't know a setting for it).

  Is there some confidential information in workflow, map service or attribute names?

  You can hide workflow input parameter values from the Sites Directory by starting the parameter name with an underscore (see https://docs.vertigisstudio.com/essentials/latest/dev-help/Default.htm#ge/dev/custom-properties.htm)

  And even if the Sites Directory content is hidden, an experienced user can still get this information from the Network traffic in the browser developer tools.

  Thanks for responding Nick. We're experiencing a large amount of hits against one of our sites and our web admin is concerned that it may be an attack. He wants to block the top level of the sites directory. I agree this would not keep out skilled users. That said, would blocking the sites directory cause the viewer to fail?
