Essentials url/domain name change

Hi All,

 

our organization is changing our domain from .com to a .gov

 

 

I'm wondering if updating everything that essentials uses url-wise can be handled with the post-installer, like what's in here, or if there's way more to it than that and involves a re-install or something.

 

 

This will also affect our on-prem 5series designers...is the fix for those as easy as changing the registered app's redirects and running the post-installer as well?

 

 

Anyone have to do a system-wide domain change? Or have to change the name of the machine your essentials was installed on?

 

Is there documentation for something like this somewhere?

  Hi Eric,

  There are numerous areas and features in both the 4 and 5-series products that are dependent upon the server name and domain configuration used during installation, so I would suggest reinstalling them once the servers have been renamed.
