Show Pushpins on global search/Select Features workflow

If I remember correctly this was a change to the overall behavior of GE, but is it possible to make pushpins show up for ALL features when running a global search or using Select Features in a workflows with Show Pushpins set to true?

 

 

I have a user who searches for point records by map extent and/or date range. The searches often return 20 or more results, and as such seeing them separately on the map vs. the list isn't super helpful. They want to be able to click on the search results, either as pushpins or highlights, on the map instead of having to figure out which one they in the list. Hope that makes sense.
