Security Error?

I am getting the following error when trying to apply a buffer in a work flow:

"The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel. The remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure". But there is a valid certificate on the server.

  Check if the server hosting the geometry service supports TLS 1.2
