[5.26] Date Picker use user's locale for numeric format

VertiGIS Studio Workflow 5.26 changes the behaviour of the Date Picker and Date Time Picker components to match the Date Range Picker. It now honours the browser's locale.

I have my browser set to Canadian English (as opposed to American English) and so the date range picker allows me to type dates in the dd/mm/yyyy format. However the date picker does not honour the Canadian locale I have chosen and rejects any numeric dates entered as dd/mm/yyyy. It only allows the American format to be entered, ie. mm/dd/yyyy.

 

The date picker should honour the browser's locale setting for dates entered in numeric format.

  I agree - this is a great suggestion. Having it default to the American format can cause issues when the user is used to inputting it differently.

  We plan to change the Date Picker and Date Time Picker form elements to use the same calendar component and input parsing behaviour as the Date Range Picker.
