Editing in Geocortex

Hi,

I'm like to do attribute edits in Geocortex on a feature layer but I want some attributes to be display only and others to be editable.  How do I accomplish this?  

I have tried making the field read only in the map service, but then the field won't be displayed at all.

  I think the only option is to use a workflow.
