Toolbar Scroll?
Are any plans in the works to allow the toolbars to scroll horizontally like they used to do in Silverlight 6-7 years ago?
For our clients who have the smaller 19 inch screen monitors, if the tool bar expands to reach the edge (like when you click Identify and the hidden tools fly out), it creates an entire new row of tools. Even if it's just one tool in the second row and takes up valuable screen space. Of course, I try to limit each tab to just a few tools to prevent this but sometimes that isn't enough. A scroll button on each end would prevent this.
Below is an image from an old Essentials Demo site that had these scroll buttons as well as an image from one of my maps that shows what it looks like with two rows of tools and the unused space it creates.
Thank you,
John

Did you find some way to handle this? We are having the same issue.

Hi Lore,
I never did get this question answered but what I did was I added more Tabs at the top, each with less tools, so they couldn't "fly out" and make a second row. I kept each tab to just a few tools that extended no more than halfway across the map and this seemed to work as a solution.
I'm not sure why they don't allow for scrolling like in Silverlight, it was all so easy! :-)
