Use geometry from uploaded data

Hello,

I would like to know if it's possible to use a geometry from any uploaded data in a query. I don't know how to select it (wf5).

  In this sample workflow, the results of a query will be added to a markup layer as a point over Texas, clear the markup, then have their information displayed in an Alert.

  Hi Nico,

  Thanks for your quick reaction.

  I have already seen that workflow, but my problem is that the Get Graphics Activity asks for a layer ID, but i don't have any (it's not a markup layer as far i can see, the Add Graphics uses a markup layer ID).

  What is your viewer, GVH (HTML5) or Web (Viewer module)?

  I expect the layer ID is the name of the uploaded file.

  For Geocortex Essentials Vorkflow (WF4) I'm sure it's possible to use the geometry of uploaded data. I would expect is it also possbile with Workflow.

  We use HTML5. I think that the layername is something like *.local (it's in the graphicsLayerIds-attribute). Maybe it's possible to use a a wildcard? Or should i use another attribute?

  How was this data added? Upload Data ('Uploaden gegevens'), Add Layers ('Toevoegen kaartlagen') or the Layer Catalog ('Kaartlagencatalogus') function?

  No it's not possible to use a wildcard to find a graphics layer.

  We use the 'Shapefile to Features' activity from the free geoWidgets activity pack. They even have an example workflow that does exactly what you are looking for on the page below.
